Welcome to Episode 9: The Fountain of Youth
Welcome to Episode 9 of First Friday Conversations: The Fountain of Youth.
In our previous discussion, we explored how legacy and planning create a lasting foundation across Central Florida. With September being National Active Aging Month, this month we’re looking at another powerful element that shapes our community: staying active, connected, and full of purpose at every stage of life.
I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Margaret and Marjorie—two incredible, 78-year-young Titusville YMCA members who bring boundless energy, hugs, and community spirit to the Y every single day.
“My doctor said, ‘I’m treating you like a 60-year-old, not a 78-year-old.'”
— Marjorie, Titusville YMCA Member
In this episode, the twins share their personal “fountain of youth,” from serving morning coffee and lifting spirits to keeping up an inspiring workout routine. We dive into how remaining active not only improves key health indicators, but also provides a deep sense of purpose, daily fulfillment, and a supportive family atmosphere where everyone looks out for one another.
Whether you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking for a place to build meaningful connections, taking that first step through the door can transform your life.
