Zumba was founded in 1998 and has been keeping people moving ever since! The YMCA of Central Florida offers popular Zumba classes. These versatile classes are open to all of our members no matter what age or skill level they are. Zumba choreography is set to salsa, reggaeton, merengue, and cumbia music and each basic rhythm has four core steps. These simple steps, Latin beats, and a team environment create fun and lively fitness experiences. Take a class and enjoy a total-body cardio and aerobic workout!

With a blend of specific dance moves and body-sculpting techniques with lightweight dumbbells, you’ll define your leg and abdominal muscles for an intense strength-training experience. This class is a dynamic fitness program with Zumba® dance moves and Latin music! Using easy-to-follow moves in interval training segments helps you burn calories and develop a commitment to fun.
Enjoy a blend of specific Zumba® moves and body-sculpting techniques while you use lightweight dumbbells. You’ll work against the water or the pool floor to define your leg and abdominal muscles for an intense strength-training experience.
This class is designed to take the exciting Latin and international dance rhythms into focus for the active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. Focuses on balance, range of motion, and coordination.

Our Kid’s Fitness classes take the effort out of activity by making it fun. Combining a motivating and scientifically proven mix of age-appropriate movement and games with music! These classes captivate kids ages 6-12—and fuel a lifelong love of physical activity along the way.
This class combines exercises with body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio, and plyometric training synced to original music! Burn calories while toning arms, legs, abs, and glutes.
