Chief Operating Officer: Jody Alexander

Jody Alexander has been a catalyst for positive change within the Y for more than three decades. She currently serves as the YMCA of Central Florida's first female Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Jody has provided her leadership to develop a roadmap and operating model that aligned all levels of leadership to the Y's highest impact priorities, resulting in the Vital Few areas of Staff Excellence, Member Experience, Organizational Excellence and Mission Advancement. Jody is also leading the construction and fundraising efforts for the first "ground-up" Central Florida Y facility in 23 years.

Her career began in youth development in 1989 at the YMCA of Greater Toledo as an after-school child care coordinator and swim team coach. Jody's journey through the Y has allowed her to be a part of the best cause-driven programs the Movement has to offer. Previous positions include leadership of aquatics, sports, healthy living, membership, child care, and executive roles. Before rejoining the YMCA of Central Florida team in June 2018, Jody served as Senior Vice President for Membership & Program Development at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte. As Senior VP, Jody was responsible for the strategic direction of the Y's membership and programming initiatives to deliver best-in-class member experience and increase program impact.

Jody holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toledo, Ohio. She and her husband Josh have two children, Carter and Caitlyn.
