That’s why we offer a wide variety of fitness classes, social clubs, specialized programs, and wellness workshops designed to help active older adults stay healthy, connected, and engaged.
Join NowFitness and Group Exercise Classes for Seniors
Stay active, build strength, and feel your best with SilverSneakers®, a nationally recognized fitness program for older adults (age 55+). Enjoy access to classes designed to support balance, flexibility, and overall wellness in a friendly, supportive environment. Many Medicare plans include SilverSneakers® at no additional cost.
Enjoy low-impact aquatic workouts that support joint health while offering a fun, social environment.
For example, the Golden Triangle YMCA (in Tavares) offers a Joints in Motion aqua fitness class designed specifically for active older adults.
You will practice yoga sitting in a chair or standing using the chair for support while learning yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and relaxation.
Pickleball at the YMCA of Central Florida offers adults a fun, low-impact way to stay active and connected. With indoor and outdoor courts available across our Central Florida family center locations, players can enjoy this popular sport year-round. Pickleball supports cardiovascular health, balance, coordination, and social connection. We offer learn-to-play classes, pickup games, and competitive leagues. Whether you’re new to the game or looking for friendly competition close to home, the YMCA has a pickleball program near you.

Many Family Centers also offer small group training classes designed specifically for seniors, such as Seniors on Weights at the Oviedo YMCA, with plans to expand to YMCA locations across Central Florida.
