On October 8, the Rosen YMCA Aquatic Center hosted a renovation dedication celebration to recognize five donors who have helped the Aquatic Center serve Central Florida.
The event included a grand opening of the newly renovated Lochinvar Teaching Pool and dedications of the Harris Rosen Championship Course, Dr. Lucky Meisenheimer Competition Course, SeaWorld Viewing Room, and New Endless Pool.
“The Y has been teaching swim lessons in Central Florida for more than 50 years,” says Rowdy Gaines, vice president of aquatics. “We’re so grateful to Harris Rosen and our other donors’ ongoing support that enables the Rosen YMCA Aquatic Center to continue strengthening our communities for future generations.”
The Y unveiled the newly renovated Lochinvar Teaching Pool that was made possible by Rosen, SeaWorld, and Lochinvar, a water and pool heating company.
To recognize Harris Rosen’s extraordinary advocacy and unwavering support, the Aquatic Center renamed its Championship Course after him. Rosen has been a major donor to the Y, not only to the Aquatic Center, but also to the South Orlando and Tangelo Park locations.
The Aquatic Center named its other Competition Course after Dr. John “Lucky” Meisenheimer, who has been a major advocate and donor. The newly renovated SeaWorld Viewing Room was also unveiled. Additionally, the Y recognized Endless Pools and Weller Pools for their contributions toward installing an endless pool, which is a state-of-the-art, current-propelled pool for stroke technique and swim lessons.
