Class Descriptions

Join your friends for energizing music, fun routines, and expert instructors in one of the Y’s many cycling classes!

Each class may not be available at every family center. Please check your family center’s schedule to see what’s offered at your YMCA!

This class can be senior-friendly.


Cardio Cycle
Take your ride indoors as an instructor guides you on an all-terrain journey that will get your heart pumping and challenge you to give a little more.

Cycle
Take a ride indoors as an instructor guides the class on an all-terrain journey that will get your heart pumping and challenge you to give a little more. The focus is on proper cycle technique, body alignment, and cardio drills. Technology is also utilized to project metrics of your ride (RPM, speed, heart rate, etc.) onto televisions in the room and help you enhance your cycle experience and workout.

Cycle Strength
A combination class that improves the strength of heart and body. Challenge your strength through traditional weight-room exercises and get your heart pumping with cardio drills on the bike to increase your fitness levels, and change the shape of your body.

Rip and Ryde
Students will do intervals of cycling and basic upper body lifts with dumbbells to build and tone lean muscles.
