More than 1,700 runners filled the Marion County YMCA parking lot and fields Thanksgiving morning to participate in our 17th Annual Turkey Trot.
Our annual 5K raises money for our Scholarship program, which provides financial assistance for people in our community to participate in Y programs. At the Y, we believe that people of all ages and all walks of life should have the opportunity to participate in programs that will make them happier and healthier.
This year, there were 1,776 runners and more than 20 spinners that came together to create a sense of belonging and community. As the Turkey Trot grows year after year, the people in Marion County continue to grow stronger together as we come together as one to give thanks and celebrate our blessings.
