Come check out our YMCA Developmental Swim Teams compete against each other at various YMCA of Central Florida locations! Each month, a different YMCA family center hosts a fun, welcoming Swim Meet where families cheer from the pool deck, swimmers build experience, and future team members can explore what swim team is all about.

Whether you’re brand new or already in swim lessons, this is a great opportunity to watch a meet, meet our coaches, and take the next step in your swimmer’s journey.

Typical Event Schedule

• Swim Team Assessments: 1:30–2:00 PM (arrive by 1:15 PM)
• Warm-Up: 2:00 PM
• Swim Meet Begins: 2:30 PM

Please bring your own chairs for pool deck seating.

Free Swim Team Assessments

• Ages: 6–17
• Open to: The Central Florida Community

Each assessment includes:

• A brief in-water evaluation with a YMCA swim coach
• Skill review and readiness feedback
• Personalized recommendations for developmental swim team, competitive swim team, or swim lessons

Swim team programs are offered at multiple YMCA locations across Central Florida. If your home branch doesn’t currently offer a team, our coaches will help guide you to the best fit.
