Coming Together Spiritually

Connecting Communities Based on Christian Values

At the Y, we work to strengthen the spirit, mind, and body of everyone in Central Florida by connecting individuals and families with opportunities based on our values. As a Christian nonprofit movement, we strive every day to demonstrate the Bible verse the YMCA was founded on. John 17:21 encourages us to create unity in our community and show the love of Christ by serving, encouraging, and caring for the needs of our members and neighbors.

Our core values

Our core values unite us as a movement. They’re the shared beliefs and essential principles that guide our behavior, interactions with each other, and decision-making.

chaplain services

Our chaplain program is a dynamic and proactive ministry offered at many of our family centers. Our purpose is to build a spiritual and pastoral presence in the YMCA. This group of dedicated volunteers wants to respond to the spiritual needs of our members, volunteers, and staff in an atmosphere of religious, ethnic, and economic diversity. If you’re interested in receiving complimentary chaplain services, please fill out this form.

Mission Committee

The Mission Committee is comprised of dedicated volunteers and staff who want to keep Christ central in the story and function of the YMCA. We help the YMCA team and volunteers to engage with members spiritually, either by being a personal connector or by connecting members to others.

We inspire YMCA members to live on mission and facilitate that engagement for them. If you’re interested in joining this dedicated group, please fill out this form.

Virtual Prayer Wall

Be part of a community in prayer no matter where you are!

The YMCA movement was founded by people who came together to pray for their co-workers and community. That tradition still lasts today at the YMCA of Central Florida. We invite you to share your prayer request with us and also to pray for those who have asked us to keep them in our prayers as well.
