Connecting Communities Based on Christian Values
At the Y, we work to strengthen the spirit, mind, and body of everyone in Central Florida by connecting individuals and families with opportunities based on our values. As a Christian nonprofit movement, we strive every day to demonstrate the Bible verse the YMCA was founded on. John 17:21 encourages us to create unity in our community and show the love of Christ by serving, encouraging, and caring for the needs of our members and neighbors.

Bible Verses to Remember
God loves His creation, and that includes each of us. His love is unconditional and is without limits. He wants nothing more than to give that love away and for each of us to discover the purpose of our lives in a relationship with Him.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.
1 John 4:16
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
Psalm 16:11
We cannot experience the full love of God when we ignore Him, His rules, His plan for our lives, and choose to do our own thing. The Bible calls this sin. Sin has destroyed our relationship with Him and each other. Sin separates us from the full life God has planned for each of us.
[F]or all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.
Isaiah 59:2
Just because we have all have sin in our lives does not stop God from loving us. God sent His son Jesus to Earth as a human to live a sinless life and die in our place. Jesus took our punishment for our sins on himself. He died on a cross, but he came back to life again. He provides us with an opportunity to be restored to God and the greater purpose and plan for our lives.
For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.
1 Peter 3:18
God has done everything possible to show us how much He loves us. He offers us a fulfilled and eternal life through Jesus Christ. Every person is challenged to make a decision. We can ask God to forgive us for living our way. We can decide to live a life with God and His story by trusting Jesus.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.
John 1:12
Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
Revelation 3:20
If you’re ready join in God’s story, you can accept this gift by simply praying these words from your heart.
Dear God, thank you that you love me and want the best for my life. I have lived my life and done things my way for which I am truly sorry. Thank you Jesus that you have forgiven all my sins by dying and coming back to life again for me. I want to trust you and ask you to come into my life. Be my Savior and Lord. Let me experience your love and your good plans for my life! Amen.
Virtual Prayer Wall
Be part of a community in prayer no matter where you are!
The YMCA movement was founded by people who came together to pray for their co-workers and community. That tradition still lasts today at the YMCA of Central Florida. We invite you to share your prayer request with us and also to pray for those who have asked us to keep them in our prayers as well.
