Y Explorers is a new program developed to give kids more opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive!

What is Y Explorers?

Y Explorers is an enrichment program developed specifically for children in grades K-5 who are looking for an engaging after-school activity. Under the supervision of YMCA team members, kids participate in exciting, age-appropriate activities based on their interests. From STEM and art to theater and board games, this program allows children to explore different themes and topics.

What are the benefits?

Kids have the opportunity to explore their interests, learn new things, and make friends in a fun and safe environment.

Dates	Sessions will go for 4 weeks at a time.

Program
Overview

Y Explorers intentionally fosters holistic youth development through a range of activities centered around helping youth learn valuable skills while having fun! Y Explorers is available for members in grades K–5 and is included in your family membership!

Y Explorers

Make more of your child’s out-of-school time!

The Y Explorers program focuses on academic support, physical activity, learning, social growth, and healthier habits. Kids will experience a safe and uplifting environment while learning skills, developing interests, and making new friends! Parents will get peace of mind knowing that while they workout, their child is participating in a program led by our certified Y team and enjoy the convenience of their activities being located within the YMCA.

Activity Themes

Under the supervision of our Y team, children participate in exciting, age-appropriate activities based on their preferred activity. Activity themes change monthly.

Aqua Explorers

We invite our young explorers who love water to have fun spending time in the pool participating in games and activities in a safe atmosphere.

Art Explorers

From canvas painting to mosaics, your explorer will get creative—and maybe a little messy—while they learn about a variety of art styles.

Board Game Explorers

In this club, explorers will strengthen their social skills, sportsmanship and cooperation in a friendly gaming environment, as well as flex their creativity with opportunities to collaborate in designing their own games.

Fitness Explorers

Inviting all explorers to move their bodies! Through Fitness Explorers, explorers will experience various forms of group exercise. From yoga to Zumba, they will learn fun ways to move their bodies. All skill levels are welcome!

Garden Explorers

Garden explorers will learn the basics of growing vegetables, herbs and plants. Each explorer will experience the value of nature and learning how to eat healthy by growing food in your garden.

Sports Explorers

Inviting all explorers to come try some new sports. Through Sport Explorers, explorers will get a taste of various forms of team sports before committing to a full season. From basketball to soccer, they will learn some basic skills and drills. All skill levels are welcome!

STEM Enrichment Explorers

From tinkering to exploring their imaginations, STEM Enrichment Explorers revolves around science, technology, engineering, and math. Explorers will enjoy experiments like making slime, engineering through building blocks, and much more.

Theater Explorers

Calling all explorers to join our cast and crew! Come learn about the ins and outs of putting on a production from acting, set design, theatre vocabulary and more!
