Healthy Kids Day® is a national initiative celebrated at Ys across the country, designed to inspire healthy habits in kids and families. At the Y, we know how important it is to keep kids moving and learning all summer long. Join us on April 26, 2025 and find a safe, healthy & fun summer at the Y.

2025 Event Details

Celebrate Healthy Kids Day® with us! This FREE community event is packed with activities to encourage kids and families to build healthy habits! Join us on April 26, 2025 from 10am – 1pm at your local YMCA of Central Florida family center.

Get ready for a day of excitement and adventure! We believe that children who are happy, healthy and engaged are critical to building successful, thriving communities. That’s why this event is so important—it inspires kids and families to stay active in both spirit, mind and body throughout the summer months and beyond.

Join us from 11:30am – 12:30pm for a New Worlds Reading Initiative event at participating YMCA’s (excludes Wayne Densch YMCA). Children and families will enjoy a book reading of Skater Cielo by Rachel Katstaller, followed by an interactive activity that brings the story to life!

New Worlds Reading Initiative Participants will receive complimentary lunch for the first 200 attendees, along with a limited number of free books at each center. Plus, be sure to take part in exciting raffle prizes, including 4 SeaWorld tickets and more!

Healthy Kids Day® is a fun-filled day packed with activities, reading and games that inspire healthy habits in kids and families.

Annual activities include:
