Helping Teens Unlock Their Potential
Our High School programs have been developed to give your student the best chance of success after high school. These programs increase student achievement and reduce risk-taking behaviors through academic support, an emphasis on health, and social enrichment programming.
Our programs for teens in grades 9–12 allow them to feel connected with their community, school, and even church—all while establishing a peer group that supports healthy habits. Whether the goal is to master their favorite subject, improve their performance in a challenging subject, or engage in activities that develop healthy values and skills, the YMCA of Central Florida has a program designed to help teens excel!
Academic Programming
School-based Staff
Our program is mostly run by school-based staff. We know that putting your children in the care of others isn’t always easy, so we strive to give you peace of mind in knowing that your kids are in good care.
Staff Requirements
All staff must undergo background screening and a 4-hour employee orientation before starting. Throughout the year, staff will also complete 40 hours of program training, monthly in-service training, and participate in monthly staff meetings. All staff must also be CPR/First Aid and AED certified.
Education Leadership Team
Our District Vice President and Program Directors have a combined 105+ years of education experience!
Intentional Programming
We work hard to provide our students the best chance of success. Our High School programs utilize intentional programming that includes:
