YMCA Memberships from Insurance & Employer Partners
Our partnerships with these third-party programs mean that you could become a base member at the Y at little to no cost for you should you be eligible through Medicare or your employer’s insurance!
When it comes to good health, staying physically active is one of the single best things we can do for ourselves. On top of relieving stress, it’s also a great way to combat chronic disease, prevent obesity, and boost brainpower! However, you might not be able to pay out of pocket for a gym membership each month. The Y has joined forces with a handful of Medicare and insurance partners so you can have access to a place to exercise and nourish your spirit, mind, and body. If you want to discuss additional amenities, please stop by or contact your local YMCA family center.

With Renew Active, it’s easy to keep your fitness routine fresh and fun. Renew Active is more than a gym membership—it offers standard membership access to the YMCA of Central Florida family centers, digital activities to exercise your brain exercises, and gives you the ability to earn rewards for completing certain health care activities (available for select plans). It’s a fitness plan to help members live their best lives.
Renew Active participants can access a variety of fitness equipment, and social activities. They’ll also receive an in-person fitness orientation to help get started.
Using HSA or FSA Dollars
If you have a health insurance plan with a Health Savings Account or you use a Flexible Savings Account, you may be able to use money from those accounts to pay for your YMCA membership and personal training fees!
Contact your primary care physician and see if your medical health history qualifies you for a Letter of Medical Necessity. If you do not have a primary care physician, you can reach out to Dr. B, a medical telehealth organization who can help determine if you qualify for a Letter of Medical Necessity.
If you qualify, submit your Letter of Medical Necessity and your YMCA membership receipts to your HSA or FSA plan administrator for reimbursement.
