We’re aware of the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s recommendation to pause the use of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine as of Tuesday, April 13. In an abundance of caution, the Florida Department of Emergency Management has decided to cancel the COVID-19 vaccination event at the Blanchard Park YMCA.

Get a free COVID-19 vaccine on behalf of FEMA and the state of Florida.

Healthcare staff from the State of Florida Vaccination Program will be distributing free Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. There will only be 400 doses for the day. Please note, all vaccines are a single dose. This event will be walk-up only, and no appointments will be made.*

You must have either a Florida ID, or bring a piece of mail with your name and a Florida address along with an out-of-state ID.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has prioritized seniors first to ensure our most vulnerable citizens have access to the vaccine first, but has expanded to include persons 18+ years of age and older. We also encourage the following demographics to get a vaccine:

• Persons determined to be extremely vulnerable by a physician,
• Health care workers with direct patient contact,
• Law enforcement and firefighters,
• Teachers of grades K–12, and
• Residents and staff of long-term care facilities.
