Help a Friend Join the Y
The Team Member Referral Program was developed to encourage YMCA members to assist in the recruitment of qualified personnel for the YMCA of Central Florida.
The YMCA of Central Florida rewards members with: A FREE month of membership for referring full-time, part-time, or seasonal team members that complete 60 days of employment. Team members must work a minimum of three of four pay periods during those 60 days.
The procedure in which to qualify for a referral incentive is as follows:
- Member refers the candidate to the YMCA of Central Florida’s careers page to apply for an open position. The candidate must indicate “Member Referral” in the referral field of the application, indicating the full name and phone number of the YMCA member who referred them for employment.
- Referrals made after a candidate has submitted an application will not be accepted.
- Once the referred candidate completes 60 days of employment, the referring member will receive an email letting them know that their referral was hired and worked the requisite time. They will be awarded a free month of membership outlined above.
- The referring member and the referred team member must be active with the YMCA at the time of the scheduled incentive redemption.
- There is no limit to the number of team members that you can refer.
- Incentive is redeemable for first time, external candidates only (i.e. rehire or internal transfer candidates do not count as eligible referrals).

Qualifications by position are outlined in each job description. Open positions may be searched by department and/or YMCA location.
